Nonprofit organizations requesting funding of more than $5,000 for program support or project support may apply for a Board Grant.

Board Grants are very competitive and must meet eligibility requirements as outlined in our Program Guidelines. We encourage you to review the Program Guidelines before submitting an application to ensure that your project qualifies for funding. Please click on the Program Guidelines link.

The Foundation requires a Preliminary Proposal in order to determine which proposals best fit our funding priorities. Upon acceptance of the Preliminary Proposal, an organization will be invited to submit a formal grant request.

Please send in a Preliminary Proposal and submit the request on-line. You will also be required to submit a copy of your IRS 501(c)(3) Determination Letter and the first page (signed / dated) of your current year’s CHAR 500 with the New York State Attorney General Charities Bureau or The New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs.

If your Preliminary Proposal is selected for further consideration, staff will contact you to submit the required additional information. This may include the following: Program Budget, Annual Operating Budget, Recent Financial Statements including the Form 990, and bids/estimates for capital projects. Staff will review the additional information requirements in detail.
