Michael F. Manzulli, an attorney and banker, has previously served as President and CEO of Richmond County Savings Bank, Chairman and CEO of Richmond County FInancial Corp and previously served as Chairman of the Board of the Richmond County Savings Bank, New York Community Bancorp, Inc. and New York Community Bank.
Mr. Manzulli also served as former senior partner of Lahr Dillon Manzulli Kelley and Penett P.C.
In addition to the above, Mr. Manzulli was the founding Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Richmond County Savings Foundation. The Foundation was established as part of the conversion of Richmond County Savings Bank to a public institution. Under Mr. Manzulli’s tenure as Chairman, the Foundation had distributed more than $76 million to local non-profit organizations. The Foundation was established as part of the conversion of Richmond County Savings Bank to a public institution.
Mr. Manzulli earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Niagara University and a Bachelor of Law degree at St. John’s University School of Law.
Mr. Manzulli is an active member of the Staten Island community. Mr. Manzulli, a founding member of the SIEDC, served as the SIEDC Chairman from 1998 through December of 2006. Mr. Manzulli is now Chairman Emeritus of the SIEDC. He also served for many years as a member of the Staten Island Advisory Board of the Salvation Army.
Mr. Manzulli is also a member of the Richmond County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
Recognizing the important role academics plays in our society today, Mr. Manzulli involvement in education included being on the Board of Trustees of Wagner College. Manzulli now has the title of Lifetime Trustee, on the Wagner College Trustee Board. In addition, he served as a member of the University Council of St. John’s University and a member of the University’s Staten Island Support Committee. In recognition of his efforts on behalf of education, St. John’s University conferred the Pietas Medal on Mr. Manzulli in 1985 and the Degree of Doctor of Law “honoris causa” in January 1988. On April 26, 2000, St. John’s University conferred upon Mr. Manzulli the Terence Cardinal Cooke Award.
Mr. Manzulli is a recipient of the Borough Hall Albert V. Maniscalco Community Service Award and has also been recognized for his contributions to the community by numerous
organizations, including United Activities Unlimited, Staten Island Inter-Agency Council for Aging, Staten Island Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association and the Staten Island Urban
League. Mr. Manzulli was the recipient of the Les Trautman Memorial Award by Project Hospitality, The Clear Comfort Award by The Friends of Alice Austen House, and the Economic Development Award by the New York Urban League, Staten Island Branch. Mr. Manzulli was the Honoree at the Staten Island Academy’s 5th Annual President’s Ball. He was honored by the New York Chinese Scholars’ Garden, the Boy Scouts of Greater New York, and the FIERI Staten Island Italian American of the Year Award. Mr. Manzulli was a 2001 Ellis Island Medal of Honor Recipient.
Mr. Manzulli and his late wife Rosemary have three children and five grandchildren.
