RCSF is committed to supporting projects that enhance the quality of life in our communities.  Please read about a few recent grants.

RCSF is a proud sponsor of the Dr. Theodore A. Atlas Foundation, a group that provides assistance to the Staten Island community with emphasis on helping children. Several vital programs will receive funding including the Food Pantry, the Boxing Program, the School Incentive Program and the Medical Needs Program. 

RCSF is funding a successful community-minded organization, Emergency Children's Help Organization. ECHO is a volunteer driven group that aids families of children suffering from challenging medical or other living emergencies. The group is dedicated to brightening the child's life during a time of crisis, helping children in serious need in Staten Island, New York and New Jersey.

RCSF is pleased to support a four-year professional development program at the New York Hall of Science for Science, Technology Engineering and Mathematics teachers. This innovative program will employ a range of digital and web-based technologies including web-based video conferencing, virtual worlds and high-tech applications that will be used by teachers throughout the country.

Staten Island Film Festival

RCSF is the Founding Sponsor of the Staten Island Film Festival which was launched in 2006 and this year celebrates its fifth anniversary.  The festival gives a venue and an audience to independent filmmakers and welcomes visitors to our community.  The festival screens films at the St. George Theatre and the College of Staten Island and culminates with an award ceremony honoring the filmmakers.

Unity Games

A proud sponsor of the Unity Games, RCSF continues to support this unique organization now in its eighth year of providing a full two-day basketball event for seventh and eighth graders.  The event combines basketball competitions with educational forums to promote respect and tolerance among our youth. 

RCSF’s Hunger Initiative

This year, RCSF has initiated a program within our community designed to help those who are struggling to feed their families.  A signature project, RCSF’s Hunger Initiative works in partnership with The Food Bank for New York to put more food on the shelves of Staten Island pantries. 

Port Richmond CERT

We are pleased to support Port Richmond CERT, a team of volunteers who provide emergency response and emergency preparedness training  to our community.  Recognized by the NYC Office of Emergency Management, this group is a highly trained resource relied upon during emergency situations and at community events throughout the entire borough.
