Under the Partnerships for Community Enhancement category, the Foundation forged and funded a partnership of 5 local community organizations in an effort to restore and beautify Staten Island’s abandoned historic cemeteries.

The program restored ten cemeteries through the combined efforts of participating organizations: Friends of Abandoned Cemeteries, Lifestyles for the Disabled, Community Resources, On Your Mark and the Lynn Robbins Steinman Foundation.

The partnership brought together the products and services of these five community organizations. The grant enabled the coalition to restore these historic sites by providing cleanup, signage, plantings and shrubbery.
